DRIVING LICENSE CLASS B96

Class B96 in Düsseldorf & Mülheim - More trailers, without a test - The easy entry into the world of trailers

With B96 you can tow more than with category B - and all without a test! Ideal for caravans, light transport trailers or hobby transportation. Compact course, great effect.

What you are allowed to drive

  • Car with trailer over 750 kg gross vehicle weight

  • Combination (car + trailer) up to 4,250 kg gross vehicle weight

  • Perfect for:

    • Caravans on vacation

    • Smaller horse trailers

    • Trailers for hobby & DIY

Requirements

  • Valid class B driver's license (must already be available)

  • Minimum age: 18 years (or 17 for BF17)

  • No first aid course required

Training B96

  • No TÜV, no test!

  • Compact course in 1 day:

    • Theory (2.5 hours)

    • Practical exercises (3.5 hours)

    • Driver training on public roads (1 hour)

  • Participation is entered in the driver's license (“B96”)
